The rust damage to the spindle body was pretty bad. I don't think this pedal will ever run smoothly again. It should however work slightly less than smoothly for a very long time. This is an easy fix that I recommend to anyone for do at first sign or sound of trouble.

There were some amazing bikes at NAHBS this year. Tig welds and lugs all covered in spectator drool as usual. There was one bike in particular that has me scratching my head. This bike made by Cherubim Cycles and showcased by Urban Velo definitely wins the WTF? award.

No not her! She's been around for months now...
It's my new Surly Cross Check. As you may have read, (probably not), I have been trying to figure out what the perfect multi purpose beat-down machine would be. I landed on this puppy and I am stoked!
I put the Brooks B-17 Special on last night and after the ride today I have a few more mods to do to make this my Ultimate Cross Check.
